GENERAL MOTORS CO. PLANNING TO HIRE MORE THAN 8000 NEW EMPLOYEES FOR TECH JOBS IN 2022
The Detroit News reported that General Motor Co is pushing to be known as a “tech company that also makes vehicles” and are now looking to recruit more than 8000 new technology employees this year.
The company stated that the new “work appropriately” strategy brought upon by the pandemic gave employees flexibility to work anywhere. This has helped them compete with the giant tech companies, allowing them to expand their teams to software developers, product development engineers, manufacturing engineers, etc.
With the competitive offers & the ability to work remotely, GM has been able to attract talent from big tech companies & universities all across the U.S. and is planning to continue to do so in 2022.
Hiring has already started for fuel cell developers, advanced battery designers, product development engineers, software developers, global innovation, manufacturing and manufacturing engineers, IT, GM Defense, engineering product developers.
