The District Detroit recently announced $200 million worth of investment. This is the second phase of its development. It aims to restore historic buildings and construct new mixed-use buildings near Little Caesars Arena. The said investment will offer more than 70,000 square feet of retail space and 400,000 square feet of office space.
This will create more jobs and business opportunities, will bring in more tenants, and will continue the momentum of the City of Detroit’s resurgence. This will also give a big boost in its economy, according to the President and CEO of Ilitch Holdings, Christopher Ilitch.
The District Detroit also mentioned ongoing feasibility studies on redevelopment into residential and retail space and for more hotel and entertainment developments.
