Detroit has been on the radar as one of the hottest markets for real estate investment for several years now, thanks in part to a city-wide rejuvenation attempt which has been in full swing. With so many investment projects pouring into the area, it seems as if all eyes have been on Detroit. And for good reason…
A recent sale of a Book Cadillac penthouse confirms what the industry has been saying about the Motor City—Detroit is on the up and up.
In early January of this year, the penthouse was listed for an impressive $2.5 million, stunning residents across the city.
The penthouse is one of three individual units of the Westin Book Cadillac. With 2,500 square feet of living space, the condo has the most incredible view of the city from its heights. Stunning light fixtures, 35-foot ceilings, Brazilian marble, and luxurious appliances round out the notable features of this property.
The condo features three large bedrooms and two and a half baths. Located on Michigan and Washington, one of the greatest amenities is its proximity to downtown. Of course, the extraordinary views of the Detroit skyline and the Ambassador Bridge are extra perks for the new homeowner.
As of the first week of June, the property has been taken off the market. Kyle Swink, from Coldwell Banker Weir Manuel, confirmed early in the week that the condo had indeed sold. With a final sale price of $1.795 million, it is currently the highest priced condo sale in all of Detroit. The sale also currently holds the title of most expensive home sold in the Motor City this year, with its runner up being the Charles T. Fisher Mansion. The Fisher Mansion closed at $1.25 million earlier in the year.
